Looking Beautiful With Hair Adornments

So what is it about adorning our hair that draws such attention from us and all those around us? Personally, I love sporting a new hair clip or headband, as long as it's fashionable and especially unique to me. I realize every piece of hair jewelry may not be a completely new idea, but I enjoy adding my personal touch and style to it....even if it's a bit out of the ordinary.  Who knows...you may be the creator of the next wonderful fashion craze. And if not, that's okay too...you'll have your own lovely unique style.

The Vintage style of hair adornments are especially lovely.  With vintage you can update the look, and at the same time hold onto  stylish character from days past.  So many options!  These are actual items I made myself, and they are soooo pretty.  Completely versatile, so I wear them with jeans, a summer dress or something more formal.  And it's important that everything in my wardrobe be versatile...in today's economy, everything should have more than one application of use...at least I think so.   But I also look at spending money as an investment, so versatility of use is very important.  Anyway, on with a few more pictures of hair adornments.

Ooooh, and decorative haircombs and alligator clips are also a wonderful accessory to have on hand. And I'm sure you can tell I really enjoy flowers and feathers together. Hey, I think their marriage together is fabulous!!

Well that's about it for this note.  Be sure to check out my Etsy page...lots of wonderful items to choose from that are really unique and beautiful.  And with holidays coming up musch faster than I think they should, there are lots of items on my Etsy page that would make super gifts.    http://www.theasjewelryboutique.etsy.com/

Boutique Hairbows

My little niece Ellysia loves everything girly...she's such a princess. So when I began learning to make those frilly, sparkly hairbows, I thought of her. I've even began adding beautiful feathers and lace. Pretty enough for a princess!

And for her birthday, of course she received hairbows and her first pearl necklace.  The hairbows may not last until she's 50, but the pearl necklace I made for her will.  I'll definately blog later about heirloom items of the future.  But we had a birthday party for her, including a made from scratch birthday cake...and a wonderful sit down dinner with family.  A truly fabulous day!

But back to hairbows...I love the double and triple layered styles, and I've made my own style by adding little jewels and beads.   And of course, I enjoy running the new style by my "Elyssia meter".  Hey, if it gets the approval of my neice, you know it's styling!
